Enhance citizens’ quality of life – as well as your career as an Occupational Therapist.  You can enjoy more space to share your ideas here and will have opportunities to develop skills in a range of specialisms.  The Occupational Therapy department carry out fundamental assessments for provision of house adaptations, Disabled Facilities Grant assessments, specialist equipment, Single Handed Care and Enablement programmes.  In addition to this the Occupational Therapy Department carries out partnership working with Learning Disabilities, discretionary Blue Badge services and Health and Housing.

Using your understanding of the aspirations of citizens who would benefit from Occupational Therapy input and their carers, your role will create solutions that meet individual citizens’ needs and include working with other agencies to reduce barriers to social inclusion.  We’ll also encourage you to get involved in different projects and we offer a explore the career paths we offer, too.

  • To be eligible to be registered with HCPC in England – and we will pay your registration fees! Final year students welcome to apply.
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills.
  • Commitment to your continuing professional development, and willingness to progress to a Senior Occupational Therapist role.
