Social Workers - Be Your Best in Adult Social Care

Explore new ways of working. Extend your experience. Advocate with autonomy.

Join our ambitious, innovative team and you can have the best of both worlds – the autonomy to bring new ideas and manage your own workload, combined with ongoing support and supervision.

Advocating for adults, including some with complex needs, and their carers, there will be opportunities to collaborate with colleagues from other agencies to develop services appropriate to people’s individual needs relating to culture, religion, age, gender, sexuality and disability. So, as well as working to enable the independence and quality of life of citizens, you can play a key role in helping us to keep improving the quality of our service.

We have vacancies across all of our different services, including localities and hospital discharge; prisons, hearing impairment and asylum.

We are also looking for social workers in the specialist team which leads on statutory adult safeguarding in Birmingham, and people to join our transitions service, working with young people preparing for adulthood.

To apply, you’ll need:

  • To be eligible to be registered with Social Work England – and we’ll pay your registration fees!
  • Direct experience of delivering a social work service to adults.
  • A clear understanding of the key values, legislation and methods guiding adult social care.
  • Commitment to ongoing service improvement as well as your own continuing professional development.
